For Bailey's birthday, I rewrote my daily mantra in simple "kid" language so that she can learn and use it from day to day. My mom can also use it while they do their daily morning energy medicine routine.
I really want her to be interested in cursive and hand lettering (I plan to make her a "how to write your cursive letters" poster soon - I learned cursive very young from my grandma and loved it), so I used a script font for the mantra, with a sans-serif "translation" below, this way, she can learn what each letter looks like in cursive, also.
The colors are based on other things I've made her; I sewed her some velcro, reusable snack packs in colors similar to these that were pretty adorable. I stole one for myself, actually...and my professor caught me eating cheez-its out of it the other day.
I'm hoping that this mantra can help her to foster self compassion for herself at an early age and carry that through her life. I really just want her to love herself as much as I love her.
