Back in February, I posted about my internship with Ayurveda, Yoga & You with Kellen Brugman. (You can view the introduction here.) Since then, a couple of things have kept me from posting an update. One is that school, apparently even during the summer, tends to consume my life. Another is that many of the projects I'm working on now are helping to advance Kellen's business, so I can't go giving out all her strategies online. I can, however, give you a good overview of what I've been doing these past six months. If you're an employer and are interested in the nitty gritty process of these projects, please feel free to contact me and I can give you more details and examples of my work.Read More
...And that’s the thing of it all. We say exactly what we want to say. And people listen. The sum of these connections amounts to our world’s currently-being-written history. We are shaping what people pay attention to, and how they go about paying attention to it (for example, having a positive or negative attitude towards a specific idea, such as eco-friendly cars).Read More
It's production week for Capstone! I was really nervous for at-home screen printing, but it worked out well! A classmate graciously let me use their die-cut machine (3-month ago Kristen thought she was going to cut this out of contact paper...ha), that cuts through vinyl, which adhered wonderfully to my amazon-purchased Speedball screen. There were a couple rough areas, but all very minor, and they turned out great. I didn't even get a disaster run! Can't wait to put them in the show (which is in 5 days).
And now I officially want a die-cut machine so I can print on things all day, every day. Dangerous territory...
As much of a pain in the ass these boxes have been to make for my rebranding of Lehman Construction, I really do love the organized chaos. Taking (or in this case, making) a problem and figuring out the best solution is way too much fun for me. This particular case has been a 3-d puzzle, something I didn't quite realize the implications of, but I have finally streamlined the process with these templates, all properly labeled and color coded.
(I also freaking love to organize things.)
Countdown to the senior Capstone setup is 9 days! Show in 14 days! Check in for more progress as the big day approaches!
