The Cannabis Cleanse Diaries
Today is almost at its end, and I’m happy to report that it’s been productive. After a slow roll out of bed, I had eggs for breakfast, a nice, nutritious meal at lunch (twice baked potato and kale-grape salad), and an ultra-balanced dinner consisting of a grilled turkey, white cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, mashed avocado, and pepper sandwich on Ezekial bread, and a side of grapes and kettle sea-salt potato chips. Whenever I had the urge to eat something full of sugar, I’d take a bite of 85% dark chocolate and the temptation would disappear. And I did not have any migraines!
I got to babysit my niece and hang out with my Grandma this morning.
While my niece is amazing and gave me some great smiles to start the day with, she’s gotten to that age of being a handful…and I found that an inhale off my Evoxe CBD pen after running around with her for a couple hours helped refocus and align me for the rest of my day.
Midday, an amazing fitness-instructor friend came to the house to work us out.
We try to get in at least one serious hour-long workout a week. She’s been out of town and with the holidays before then, we hadn’t seen her in a few weeks and boy did we feel it. It’s always fun to work out with her, though, because we all just talk about our latest spiritual thoughts and experiences so the time flies – and I’m always left feeling inspired. She also works with us to our capacity and doesn’t have the overly-intense personality I’ve hated in my trainers of the past. I never feel like she’s annoyed that I’m doing something wrong or stopping for (frequent) breaks when I need to. Plus, I know she won’t judge me – so I can look as ridiculous as I want in the comfort of my own home! If only I could find the time to do it a few times a week instead of just the one… But, baby steps.
Later today, I also had a short crazy dance break that incorporated handstand practice as well as interpretive dance-like stretching. I almost made a fourth bubble on my tracking chart for all my good exercise today.
Oh and I got some work done.
Of course, not as much as I wanted/needed to, but some. The day ended up being more of a personal catch-up, which was much needed.
